...Sandra McCracken and The Normals

The lights dim, the center stage lights go on. The spotlights come on and the crowd starts to scream louder and louder. The clapping starts and people stand up! Fans of Caedmon's Call came from all over the state of Arizona to hear them in concert. Several came from states as far as Texas, California, and Wisconsin (the author!). Also in concert that evening were Sandra McCracken and The Normals.

Sandra McCracken opened the show. Currently, she is an independent artist. Her current album is, "The Crucible." Wonderfully talented, she is already making a name for herself. Next on stage was the band, "The Normals." They are currently touring their most recent and sophomore album release, "Coming To Life." With spectacular crowd appeal, moving lyrics, and catchy tunes, The Normals were a definite crowd pleaser!

Closing the night was the crowd favorite, Caedmon's Call. What a wonderful experience they left everyone with! They shared an exciting mix of songs from albums both new and old. Not only was the audience getting involved, Caedmon's Call did too! They shared wonderful personal testimonies. From overwhelmingly deep lyrics, to wild n' awesome lighting effects, this group had it on for God! Definitely Christian folk-rock at its best!

Perhaps the best thing about this entire concert is that the proceeds went to benefit Teen Challenge International as well as Springboard, a Home for Youth in Crisis (based out of Tucson, AZ). Springboard is a Christ-centered organization that provides shelter for up to 90 days for girls between the ages of 8-17. They try help these young girls cope with their problems and reconcile with their families. Several girls who went thorough his program shared their testimonies at this concert. It is evident that Springboard has really embraced God's power of healing and eternal love. Teen Challenge International starts and supports many worthy programs like Springboard.
