Superchic(k) ­ a gender-neutral term referring to someone who has figured out who they're supposed to be.

Superchick is a Chicago based troupe that are on a calling to address the issues Jr. High and High School girls tackle everyday. One purpose of the band is to combat negative role models and the "Barbie" syndrome advocated by the general media.

The music of Karaoke Superstar is described as being a mixture of pop-punk, hip-hop, disco-funk, and garage band. Whatever the style, there is one thing that is certain; it’s fun, a lot of fun. Musically, Karaoke Superstar is high powered and described as being aggressive but not angry. The songs are jam packed with vital messages for teens such as purity, popularity, worry, and a healthy relationship with God. Despite the bands name, and some of the lyrics, seeming lightly offensive, there is no need to fear this medium of communication. Superchick's methods of ministering are in line with their target audience, and the message is biblically sound.

Superchick's music has been featured on "TV Land", MTV's "The Real World", and ESPN's "Winter X Games."This summer, Superchick will be joining the Festival Con Dios tour with the Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, and a pack of other Christian artists. Check out their web site, www.superchick.com.
