This is the best I’ve heard yet from Caedmon’s Call. Widely known on the college circuit for their folk rock the Call is rising to a new level of ministry. Even in a market that has recently been busy with Worship, "In The Company Of Angels" is warmly welcomed. The true importance of this CD is the impact it can and will have on the young followers of Caedmon’s Call. The Call’s folk-rock influence can still be heard in the background, but the heart of the lyrics dive right into praise and worship. The band was also blessed with some unrecorded materials from the late Rich Mullens, "Oh Lord Your Love." Also incorporated into the CD are three classic hymns with updated music written by Sandra McCracken. From beginning to end, "In The Company Of Angels is inspiring and musically rich. The Call will be embarking on two separate tours this fall to share in worship. Traveling along with Michael W. Smith and the Songs For Worship tour, and their own tour. Check out www.caedmonscall.com or www.essentialrecords.com for dates and locations. -Ken W. |
