I'm not trying to be critical when I say Jump 5 is a "Disney Band", it's just the best way to describe them.

From the first glance, Jump 5 appears to be a wholesome attempt to entertain the 6-12 year old demographic. Their self titled debut is jumpy and fun. The music is both cool and positive. There intent is pure, and they want to act their age while touching on serious topics like violence in schools. Songs like "Change A Heart, Change The World" sings of the out of control spin that the world is in and what we have to do to stop it.

Ranging from 12 to 15 years old, these high-energy youth are perfect for that specific audience. Chris, born January 1986, wants to profess love, praise and fun with and for God. Britney, born August 1988, wants to be a positive influence on kids of all ages, (and on the side she can balance a spoon off of her nose.) Brandon, born March 1987, is the shy, sensitive one of the group, and older brother to Britney. Lesley, born October 1986, hopes that Jump 5 can set a great example and be "awesome" role models. She also confesses that her hidden talent is making herself burp. Last but not least is Libby, born April 1987. Libby can unwrap a Starburst wrapper in her mouth with her tongue. She also hopes that people will understand that it's cool to do the right thing.

All the members of Jump 5 are trained dancers. Their stage performances promise to be energetic and entertaining. One key thing is that they understand that purity is important. Fourteen year old Lesley was quoted as saying, "I think it's gross the way some stars dress to get attention. We can be modest and still have fun."
