City On A Hill

City On A Hill - Sing Alleluia
Various Artists
Essential Records

If "City On A Hill" were a series of movies then "Sing Alleluia" would be a rare occurrence, because seldom does a sequel ever exceed the greatness of its original.

Not only is there a spectrum of groups and artists, but several of these artists and groups have been mixed together to produce overwhelming combinations. Some of these include Mac Powell and Jennifer Knapp on the title track, Bebo Norman, Cliff and Danielle Young (Caedmon's Call) on "Holy Is Your Name," and Nichole Nordman and FFH with "Shine Your Light." Fernando Ortega and Mac Powell join forces on "You Are Holy," a standout that drives you to worship. Phil Keaggy hooks up with both the Youngs' on "Communion," as well as Jennifer Knapp on "Hallowed." Individually the talents, personalities, and passions of these artists are big, but together they are cosmic.

This phenomenal collection of artists makes "Sing Alleluia" a sure bet from beginning to end. With great artistry and a passion for God, it runs like a Time Life collection of Christian Singer-Songwriters.
