Did You Feel The Mountains Tremble Rivertribe is a mix of instruments; the didgeridoo, violin, Native American flutes, Irish whistle, African drums, piano, Armenian duduk, and sounds from the Australian native forest. It is worship without words, an imagination enhancement that inspires prayer and meditation. "Did You Feel..." is the tribes third release, but the first on Elevate Records. Their first two independent releases were "Journey," and "The Blessing." The mission of Rivertribe is to explore their musical gifts and offer them back to God, and at the same time, offer the listener instrumental meditative worship music. You will easily recognize the inventive arrangements of "Shout to the North," "Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble," "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever," and "Open the Eyes of My Heart." At the same time you'll enjoy the original arrangements like "Eternity," and "Ocean Passage." World music as a genre has been influential in drawing people to eastern or worldly religions. Rivertribe takes that genre and injects it with tones of Christianity. Because it is so similar in sound to world music it is non-offensive in nature and a great way to get a foot in the door of a seeker. For the believer, it works as a tool to inspire worship from within the imagination without the distraction of words. -Ken W. |
