Christmas in Black & White "Black & Whtie" is a diversified album of Christmas classics interwoven with everything from a Latin beat ("Sacred Night," originally Away in the Manager) to uniquely revised lyrics. Nicole stays close to home with stylings much like those found on her previous album, "Talk About It." The song "Lamb of God," has a fun, light hip-hop beat. A heartfelt song is the song titled "The Christmas Song," a duet of Nicole and her father, Napoleon Coleman Jr. "The Christmas Song" is a rendition of Nat King Cole's "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire." Her creative storytelling approach has carried over from "Talk About It" to several tracks on this album. All-in-all, "Christmas in Black & White" is a great album to pop in the player when sitting aside the fire while working on a groovy puzzle. It is not your average Christmas album. - Bridget L. |
