Tree 63 previously established their own authentic style of modern rock-worship, and on "Life and Times" this sound is a bit more modern rock than worship. However the change is only note-deep and not a change in spirit. Honesty before God is the driving force behind "The Life and Times of Absolute Truth."

"Glorious Ones," and "It's All About to Change" are standout tracks when you're looking for hard rock sounds and lyrics content, while "All Because" softly sings of the pressures in life to lay down our faith and live for worldly pleasures. A much needed reminder again to store up our treasures in heaven and not here on earth.

The theme throughout is that the truth is living honestly before God, and being committed to following Christ no matter how difficult. John Ellis explains it best with this statement, "We live in a society where the notion of absolutes is unacceptable. It's a very tough environment in which to be a Christian. This is the 'life and times of Absolute Truth'. Our title invites all that accept there is and Absolute to stand and declare it to the world and say, 'your collection of lies is unacceptable; there is One Truth, and his name is Jesus."
