Who Are We?

Worship Again

Worship Again
Michael W. Smith
Reunion Records

In 2001, Michael W. Smith released "Worship." This mega-hit, God-centered, moving album went certified-platinum in sales. The momentum of Worship is carried over to Michael W. Smith's sequel album, "Worship Again."

Celtic undertones combined with the electric-guitar make for a very moving, alive worship album. Smitty offers both familiar material along, remakes of older songs, woven with new sure-to-be hits.

A moving album opener-song is the hit praise song, "Step By step," by the late Rich Mullins. Smitty creatively weaves "Forever We Will Sing" into the opening song. Familiar hits include "The Wonderful Cross, "Lord Have Mercy (featuring Amy Grant), and "Here I am to Worship." A unique twist to this album is the beautiful old hymn "Ancient Words", written by Lynn De Shazo. Fan of Smitty's instrumental album, Freedom, will enjoy the cut "Sacred Romance." This song is reminiscent of the sweeping Irish ballads on the album Freedom. A bonus cut on that closes this electrifying album is the song "There She Stands." This new song (music) was penned by Michael W. Smith at the request of the President George W. Bush in response to September 11th. Lyrics were added by the great Wes King.

Hit songs from both of Michael W. Smith's Worship albums are featured in the 2002-2003 Come Together and Worship tour. This tour is a team-effort of Michael W. Smith, Third Day, and renowned Christian author Max Lucado.

There is a definite spiritual revival churning in the music industry. Albums like Worship Again capture the essence of this revival.
