Michael Card is a well respected songwriter and author of novels. On "A Fragile Stone" Card weaves together these two elements and puts forth his best effort to date. The book and the CD "A Fragile Stone" are written about the apostle Peter. Each song on the CD is like a chapter of Paul's life. "A Fragile Stone" is also a celebration of music as Card pleasingly mixes in the familiar Celtic tones of "Starkindler" and a new flavor of bluegrass.

Michael Card's accomplishments are above and beyond himself, and he probably puts more thought into writing each song than a seminary student puts into a final essay. His indepth writing and precision musicianship have served him and others well. There are few others like him and no other CD like "A Fragile Stone."
