Teen Mania and Acquire The Fire events have been in motion for over 11 years, impacting countless teens from all ends. “Live the Difference” is ATF’s second release on the Inpop label. Unlike the first release, a high-profile artist compilation, “Live the Difference” is organically led by Teen Mania’s youth leadership.

Assembled together on “Live the Difference” are original worship songs, written in part by the teen leaders, covers of worship favorites, like Tim Hughes’ “Here I Am To Worship,” and Mercy Me’s “I Can Only Imagine.”

The fire of “Live the Difference” starts with the spark of a modern worship anthem called “Lift,” calling for the listener to lift their eyes, hands, and spirits to the Lord. In between you will find courage, motivation, and other fire building materials. At then end is Keith Green singing “Oh Lord, You’re Beautiful.” Adding Keith to the end, amidst the modern worship ambiance of the rest of the project, feels out of place at first. My feeling is that Green’s words remind us that once the fire is lit we have to work at it to keep it burning, a reality check that is so often necessary.
