So Much For Substitutes
downhere
Word Records

From up there (the Great White North) comes downhere; a premiere Canadian Gospel-Rock quartet. Their sophomore release "So Much For Substitutes" takes on a new evolution in the band. An evolution which changes from acoustic rock to a more guitar driven sound. Although the guitar driven sound is more prevalent. In thise release it's not a central factor.

The key factor that caused a growing excitement for me is the strong spirituality and artistry in the lyrics. The soundtrack is standard but not mediocre. The music does very well to motivate and support the message.

Even though "So Much For Substitutes" has such a strong lyrical message, I found it to be more inspiring than challenging. Add that to the exciting feel of the guitar driven sound and you have a fulfilling experience.
