What Light Is All About Rocketown’s latest finding, Alathea, continues the company’s grand tradition of artistic expression. With an acoustic folk sound Alathea (Carrie Theobald, Mandee Radford, and Christi Johnson) work out stories of their lives gracefully and poetically. Influences of Bluegrass, Mountain, and even Celtic stream from perfectly blended harmonies along with an accompaniment of various instruments like the violin, cello, banjo, flute, and fiddles. Most notable is the warmth and softness weaved from this combination. The following are just a few examples of the amazing compositions that will warmly wrap their arms around your heart. “Indian Creek” A story recalling cherish memories of quiet places where you could go to and find God all around you. “Faithful One” A testimony of weaknesses and dependence on the Faithful One. “Broken Down” Takes a cliché about broken down refrigerators on your front porch and relates that to the brokenness of hearts and putting that brokenness forward for Christ to heal. “What Light Is All About” is a light in of itself.
