Karen Davis is a Messianic worship leader in Haifa, Israel. Her latest release "Sar Shalom" is a reflection of the rhythms and textures of the land she now lives in. Her dreamy vocals combined with the attractive ballads accompanied by piano, orchestration, and percussion are one of a kind.

Karen considers her songs to be more like intercessory prayers put to music. Much of "Sar Shalom" was written out of the grief and prayers after the terrorist attacks on America, September 11th 2001. "I Lift My Eyes" was written the day after the attacks and on the CD Karen also sings this song in Hebrew, titled "Esa Enai." There are other tracks that are done in Hebrew as well and even though I don't know the language I can still appreciate the tender sound of the words and music.

"Sar Shalom" comes with an additional DVD that features videos from "Sar Shalom" and other Galilee of the Nations artists, and an interview with Karen Davis.
