Sintax is a former member of Deepspace 5, and as a solo artist he has released two independent albums, one EP, and a 12 inch, along with several compilations. Lyrically, Simple Moves is very Christ centered and the messages speak of humility ("Firefly Syndrome"), love of God ("Shirt Sleeve"), and living peacefully ("Turnabout").

When the individual tracks were broken down for me I was surprised at how well Sintax could rap about his faith. Amongst the kick drums, record scratches, and verb age there is a passion for God.

Sintax has a little fun too with "Note to the Discjock," please play his record! Also, "Got Beef" where Sintax prods his fellow rappers in jest and love. The CD ends on a very light note as well with "Money Back Guarantee" where the beat box meets ABBA.
