Once Again
Elevate Records/Inpop Records

With the debut of "Lost In Worship" Fusebox announced itself as the former back-up band of Rebecca St. James. Now with their sophomore release "Once Again", Fusebox propels them forward solely independent of associations.

"Once Again" is not the usual modern worship that flooded the scene back when "Lost In Worship" was released. This album has more of a guitar driven sound with very catchy riffs and choruses. The sound is more like contemporary rock with elements of worship, and there is a fair balance of rock anthems and rock ballads.

The production team on "Once Again" was quite diverse as Mac Powell, Otto Price, Quinlan, Joel Smallbone, Ainslie Grosser, and Fusebox front man Billy Buchanan all share credits. There are slight implications of these different styles of producers, but for the most part the album has consistent production values.

A few of my favorites include the duet with Donnie Lewis called "Look What You've Done," the guitar driven "Gotta Have Your Love," and the remake of "God Is Great."

A a rock album, I was completely satisfied (and surprised) with "Once Again." Right from the start I was taken back by the lively and aggressive sound. Fusebox also remains true to their modern worship roots with praises and uplifting lyrics.
