The Purest Place
Rocketown Recrods

"The Purest Place" is worship driven, taking the Watermark duo back to their beginnings of worship leaders. This CD, their fourth release, was inspired by restored friendships and working with Louie Gigilio and the "OneDay" events. "The Purest Place" is not like corporate worship though as it's more of a singular person singing praises.

Listening to the album I don't think it's all that far removed from the adult contemporary feel of their previous works. The lyrics may be more vertical worship in nature, but they still come from a first person perspective. Watermark has always shared their innermost feelings and hardships through song. Just one example on "The Purest Place" is the song "Invade" which cries out to Jesus to invade our homes as stress and chaos threaten to destroy families. Christy wrote this song when things seemed to be spinning out of control and even though it comes from her personal struggles, she shares it as an encouragement to others.

"The Purest Place" is the perfect place to be as Watermark fans have experienced their joys and trials, and now their yearning to worship.
