Road to Damascus

Independent

Recently a friend dropped me his five song demo looking for an honest opinion. I was happy to find a satisfying, and very intimate acoustical worship experience. The demo included two remakes, “Forever” and “Give”, and three original songs that give the listener a flavor of what they can expect from the band. As a father of two very lovely girls I was instantly clutched by the song “Lift Me Up.” The lyrics tugged at my heart with certain sadness and recognition that I have an important job to do when raising my children. (Psalm 22:6) The two other originals “So Holy” and “I Can't Deny” are praise and worship songs that have depth to them lyrically as well. The demo was completely self-recorded and produced and the sound is of high quality. It is a great representation of a new band that is seeking to use their God given talents to lead others in worship.

Road to Damascus is based out of Madison, WI, and their original intent of creating a demo was to offer churches without praise bands a chance to hear their sound, and ultimately for that church to have live music at their services. The band can be contacted at Road_to_Damascus@sbcglobal.net .
