Chronos, is a six piece acoustic-rock band with a diverse background in musical styles. Various band members are fluent in Jazz, Rock, Worship, and Classical. The classical influence can be heard distinctly on four of the tracks that include a 7 piece string section.

The album is twelve songs long and as diverse as their backgrounds. The CD starts out with a nicely arranged stringed melody ("Strange Ways"), and by track three it changes into a Dave Matthews style rock with "Scream Louder." Then on to my favorites! In "Without Me" the strings add an intense build-up that supports compelling lyrics, all done in a trance-like tone. There is a bit of nostalgia when I listen to "Better Off Now" which reminds me of classic Supertramp.

The official release for "Downpour" is March 22nd and the band will be partnering with the Africa's Children ministry on a South African tour starting in March. Music samples and tour information can be found on their website.
