Stellar Kart Stellar Kart is a hot new pop-punk band that has been raised from the Mountain Ridge Baptist Church in Glendale, AZ. Stellar's style of pop-punk is similar to bands like Greenday, or Relient K. Having birthed as a youth band Stellar Kart is geared towards the youth group audience. Their lyrics are Christ centered and not cryptic which makes them more significant in my book. With what I consider to be an exodus from the Christian industry, I'm excited to have a clear alternative to secular pop-punk bands of the same likeness. Their debut CD is completely self-produced and mostly original. There is one remake of Bon Jovi's "Livin' On a Prayer." Song topics include second chances, spiritual/physical surrender, and teen suicide. There is also one praise and worship track titled "A Love Song" that doesn't follow their usual pop-punk style. For the fun of it all there is a short 30 second spurt called "Tree Climber" that relates to the story of Zaccheus. "All Gas. No Break" is an amazing CD with highly creative and original songs that are a youth pastors' dreams come true. - Ken W. |
