This Generation is a milestone for front man Rick Heil; after battling through Chron’s Disease, and succeeding through divine intervention, Heil returns to the helm with a new band and a new sound. This latest release is the best since Heil embraced the leadership of one of the most influential Modern Worship groups known as SONICFLOOd.

You can expect a more energized SONICFLOOd, with progressive tracks and empowered vocals. Also more prevalent on This Generation is Heil’s contributions to co-writing on many of the tracks, something that was nearly zero on Cry Holy. The title track breaks open the flood gates with a powerful call to worship to one and all. The following tracks like, “All I’ve Failed to Be,” “Never Forget You,” and “God Is Here” follow through with the same passion.

There is a lot of history with SONICFLOOd, and most of it I don’t really understand or know. I do know however, that back in 2001 Rick Heil and SONICFLOOd gave me my first experience of unbridled worship through song. Since then, I have been following the journey of SONICFLOOd and I personally am very excited about the strength of This Generation.
