What really grabs me about this album is one track; “Open My Eyes”. “Open My Eyes” is a modern worship adrenaline rush that unfortunately isn’t matched on the rest of the album. As a matter of fact, it kind of stands out as a rarity amongst the other nine contemporary worship songs. It raises my expectations for the rest of the album, and so far I haven’t been able to more than jump from track to track looking for that same rush. The rest of the album is mostly singer/songwriter material with less of the modern-worship influences.

I can positively say that I have read through the lyrics and Anderson is an excellent singer/songwriter. I may just be too distracted by the overwhelming power of the lead track to notice many of the other fine qualities of the album. Radio charts and album sales will probably prove me wrong, but I’m thinking all the production mustered into this one song could have been more spread out.
