Like the title of the band suggests “Music City Live” is full of soul. This live CD is a mix of both new and old songs, all recorded live in Nashville. The event was recorded both for audio and for DVD. “Music City Live” is also a debut on Duncan’s new record label Red Road Records.

The blues-ish sounds of “Blue Skies” and the retro-fusion of rhythm and blues on“Yes I Will” really make this a one of a kind recording. When I listen to Duncan’s vocals I keep thinking he sounds a little like Sting. The album overall is eclectic, with everything from slow and smooth to fast and funky. If you’re looking for some urban gospel that gets lively, take a chance on “Music City Live”.
