Hailing from Denver, CO, Yellow Second is comprised of former members of Five Iron Frenzy and the Rocket Summer. “Altitude” is their debut label release, following two independent releases.

“Altitude” is a blend of alternative rock and pop with an occasional mix of a whole lot of guitar (which is good). Yellow Second’s distinct sound and intelligent lyrics make for a likable sound. The album is easy to listen to and it’s quite catchy.

Yellow Second joins a creative roster of bands at Floodgate Records that truly excel at artistic expression. With the help of a major label this time around, Yellow Second will without doubt build upon the core-following that they have already established.
