This live recording from the Australian modern worship band features 12 new songs and a cover of the familiar chorus of Rich Mullins’s “Awesome God.” If you liked the Planet Shakers or Michael W. Smith’s two worship records, you should like this one as well.

“Salvation is Here” is a sing-along rocker with the lyrics “Because you are alive and you live in me.” “Tell the World” reminds me of U2 and delirious? while “Look to You” and “Shout Unto God” are also sing-along tunes.

“What the World Will Never Take” is edgier and a nice anthem.

The PR material for this record says “Hillsong United represents the voice of an emerging younger generation of believers who are on fire for Jesus.” I would be a bit careful in saying this musical style only appeals to youth. We are now at a collective point in our history where “grandpa and grandma” may very well have grown up listening to Elvis.
