Spikefoot Tragedy is a band that I have been keeping an eye on since 2003 when I first saw them at Lifest (Oshkosh, WI). It was then that I was given their debut CD Lost in the Smoke and began to wonder just how far this band could go. Since then, the band has gone through some line up changes and on their latest Untitled Ep there is a stronger focus on modern worship.

What I don’t hear is that same edge in Abbey’s vocals that captured my attention on Lost in the Smoke. With just four songs though, it’s hard to say anything definitive. The group still put on an amazing show this year at Lifest 05. From here, Spikefoot has to keep up a quickening pace of practice and touring.
