Aaron Shust
Anything Worth Saying
Brash Music

From the first time I popped Anything Worth Saying into my CD player, I couldn’t help but notice that it was real easy to listen to. I truly mean “easy listening” as a compliment, in that it has a very warm and familiar sound. Aaron’s vocals are reminiscent of the sound of contemporary mainstream radio stars, The Wallflowers.

Anything Worth Saying is a collection of 11 original songs that won’t leave you speechless. After your first listen, you will be telling your friends about this dynamic artist. Shust is very adept at crafting the right hooks and placing them in the right spots within a song. Not only is this album a collection of great hooks, Shust also has written some very introspective and insightful lyrics. The song “Matchless” which is currently playing on radio stations all over the country is a perfect example of Aaron’s ability to come up with a song that stays with you after the first time you hear it along with saying so much about the love of Christ.

His song entitled, “Stillness,” would also make a great radio hit. It just has a fantastic hook and meaning, “speak to me and show me who you are,” are the words that you end up singing over and over after the song has long ended and then the hook keeps coming back to you all throughout the day. That is the mark of a great songwriter, and Shust has proven himself more than capable of coming up with one after another.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this album yields three or four chart climbing hits for Shust. Trust me; the Christian music scene will surely hear that Aaron Shust definitely has something worth saying and something well worth listening to.
