Casting Pearls front man Bryan Olesen is also a guitarist in the Newsboys. It shouldn’t be a real surprise then that Casting Pearls is straight-ahead rock ‘n’ roll, perhaps a pinch edgier than Newsboys.

You may have already heard “Whole World in His Hands” on the radio. This song was penned by Tim Hughes. It is definitely not the song you sang in Sunday School.

Overall, the lyrics are ok, although they tend to drift to the generic side. “You Alone” does make a very strong statement of faith. After awhile, the tracks start to sound similar.

As an added value, the record also comes with a concert DVD.
