When you hear someone say that a person has "God-given" ability. There's a good chance that they would be referring to David Phelps. Simply said, "The man can sing." His vocal instrument is about as pure and strong as it gets. To put it in another light, David Phelps would most likely never be allowed to compete in something like American Idol because there would be no competition for him. He is that good.

His latest project, Life Is A Church, truly showcases his talent and includes some catchy pop songs as well such as "With His Love" and "Long Time Coming." These songs are a lot of fun and show a lighter side of Phelps who is renowned for his theatrical performances. For those who are looking for more of his trademark Phelps-like drama, the album delivers with powerfully inspirational tracks such as "That's What Love Is", "Gentle Savior" and "The Name Lives On."

I have heard some people say that Phelps is a little too "over-the-top" for them and I have to admit that there have been times that I have agreed with them. However, after giving a closer listen to his work, I realize that David Phelps is truly in a league of his own and that commands respect. Christian Music is better and more interesting because David Phelps uses his "God-given" talent so well.
