Jaime Jamgochian Jaime Jamgochian (aka Jaime Jam) is a new worship artist on the Centricity Records label. Jamie’s background first deserves some mentioning, as Jaime’s turn to faith came to her at a low point after she had “lost her joy.” Her usual bubbly personality was stifled until after rebuilding her life around Christ as the center. Jaime found her joy again and her infectious personality began to work on each of her family members’ one at a time. Aside from all of the exciting things happening in her family, Jamie was nurturing her musical career as well. Jaime was self-driven as a child, and pursued piano with a passion. After high school she went on to Berklee College of Music where her Christian conversion had begun. Following college, Jaime took an internship across the states in Seattle, Washington, with The City Church. At The City Church, Jaime initially began by leading worship for the youth group and from there she began to sharpen her musical skills. The accumulation of all this has led to her debut album, “Reason to Live.” Jaime’s sound falls somewhere between Point of Grace and Rebecca St. James, and ironically, Jaime has performed with both POG and RSJ at the Girls of Grace conferences. Through the process of writing the album Jaime nurtured her songwriting through partnerships with several great producers who helped her co-write the songs for the album. The album has a very passionate feel and her heart for worship emanates from the lyrics and vivid harmonies. Jamie is a strong new voice, and I believe that as she continues to grow, her music will continue to be more exciting and refreshing. - Ken W. |
