As an independent artist, Michael John Stanley has gone above and beyond just promoting himself. Electric Groove Records, his personal label, was created in order to help launch not just his music, but other independent artists that also have a ministry focus. MJS is also the creator of the Indie Edge Radio Show, which featured independent artists of all types. Now with the help of Infinity Music Distribution, his label debut is getting more attention.

His debut, titled after his former band, is a straight forward rock album. MJS is very ministry orientated and that shows in the lyrics. The lyrics come straight from the heart and add a lot of emotion to the already powerful soundtrack. It is very rare to find a combination of evangelical lyrics and such a high quality of music. The music will rock you and move you, and when you dig deeper into the lyrics, the songs will inspire you. My favorite is “Words,” which has been proving itself on radio as well. “Words” was written about MJS’s moment of salvation.
