Jeremy Camp
Live – Unplugged
BEC Recordings

Apparently we just can’t get enough of Jeremy Camp and his music. As a relatively new artist, he is already on his second live recording/DVD. This latest recording however is slightly different, in that it places Camp in a more subdued atmosphere. The show was done quasi-unplugged as the titled states, and the stage was setup to enhance the feeling of intimacy.

The advantages of Live – Unplugged over the last live recording are noteworthy. On this DVD, Camp spends a lot of time explaining the meaning behind the songs, and secondly, and most importantly, on this recording Camp is joined by his wife Adrienne on background vocals. Lastly, the CD/DVD comes as a two disc set this time around, so if money is tight, you’re not forced to decide between the two. The one vital thing missing on this DVD is the funny extras. Croquet anyone? However, there are times when Camp is socializing with the crowd in a whimsical and entertaining manner. Overall the two disc set is a treasure for Camp fans and fanatics. The quiet setting totally enhances the lyrical and musical proficiency of this much loved artist.

I should also mention that the History Channel has recently released a Bible Trivia DVD game hosted by none other than Mr. Jeremy Camp. The interactive DVD allows for three levels of play and is very entertaining and educating. The only reservation I have about the DVD game is that I’m not certain what version of the Bible the quotes and questions come from. There may be a few questions that make you pause and wonder where they are coming from, but if you can put aside the legalism for the game, then you’ll do just fine.

The game was produced by the b EQUAL Company of Palo Alto, CA. For more information you can peruse their web site at http://www.bequal.com.
