I would like to think that Wherever You Are is a response to fans and critics, but honestly, I can’t blame the men of Third Day for trying to reach new ground outside of the CCM box. Although I wasn’t too fond of their last release many fans still were. And the scathing e-mails following the last review were proof of that.

Whatever the reason “Wherever You Are” returns to a more direct God-focused approach to lyrics and meaning. Songs like “Cry Out To Jesus” and “Communion” are evidence of that. And songs like “Tunnel” and “I Can Feel It” are proof that the band can still rock! The CD overall is very tight and it is peppered by hits that rock and some that are more sentimental. Fans are guaranteed to be happy with this new album and I’ll be happy not to receive any more scathing e-mails!
