Brett Rush is a fervent singer-songwriter and his debut album Invitation draws a few similarities to Jeremy Camp. Mostly it is the passion in his vocals that make comparisons, while the accompaniment is more laid-back than that of Camp. Invitation is well produced and there is a plush variety of rock, pop, and acoustic that adds some color to the songs. Rush has done the majority of writing on Invitation with just a little help from producer Eric Copeland on two tracks. His style of writing and the subtle soundtrack certainly place Rush in a good position for radio. There is of course a website with more information and song samples. That’s one benefit of today’s technology. You can take a peek at someone before committing to a purchase.
