Pocket full of Rocks

Pocket Full of Rocks
Song to the King
Myrrh Records

Song to the King, marks the return of the Myrrh moniker, and the start of a fresh worship band that had already seen success before it has ever recorded (officially). Pocket Full of Rocks has already written popular songs for both Michael W. Smith (“Let it Rain”) and Philips, Craig, & Dean (“Let the Worshippers Arise”). Now, recording and performing their own songs, Pocket Full of Rocks is poised to be the spotlight of their success.

Song to the King has a dynamic sound that reminds me a little of Mercy Me (by style only, not sound). For me, this CD brings back the excitement and reverberation of the early modern worship movement. If you have found yourself getting drawn in by Casting Crowns, I think that Pocket Full of Rocks will grab your attention as well.
