Caedmon’s Call Caedmon’s Call has a very familiar comforting voice, and their folk-pop worship still resonates well upon these ears. I could not believe what I read at first, had it really been over four years since their first “In the Company of Angels?” I remember back to that time frame, when worship albums were abundant. Now four years later, and after a phenomenal “Share the Well,” CC comes back with a worship-orientated album once again. The album has a fair blend of new material and classics. What really makes it work for me though, is how well they blend their own style with the old hymns like “Draw Me Nearer.” Other examples are “Be Merciful to Me,” and “I Surrender” both standard hymns that have been updated with additional verses. Caedomon’s Call has been a constant shining light in both the music scene and the mission field. I count myself fortunate that they consider their music ministry worth continuing with “The World Will Sing.” - Ken W. |
