“These Walls Tell a Story”
Independent release
15 tracks @ 62:59

BohnAllow me to take a moment to once again rave about Bohn’s previous release “Farther Up the Mountain.”    Must have!!!!

On this record, Jim focuses more on the American landscape and family.  The title was inspired during a drive through a rundown Pennsylvania mill town.

“Blue Collar Man” is a countrified, boogie-woogie tribute to his father while “Rhea Rose” is about the joy of a grandchild.  “What Seems Like Hell to You” brings to mind the songwriting of Woody Guthrie.

The all-too-short “O Beulah Land” and also “Carry the Load Up Calvary Hill” reflect the best of Elvis Presley’s acappella gospel recordings.

“Cross the River” reflects on that moment we all will face one day and also includes some references to the Book of Revelations;  “Some friends long ago were called over there, they have not returned but they’re waiting, They are walking in light, in glory so bright, they stand in anticipation. . . .Where there are no tears or no pain.”
