GB5 (The Gutierrez Brothers) Louie, Jamie, Isaac, Mark and Aaron Gutierrez, of Redlands, CA, have released a Latin-influenced worship record of very pleasant pop-praise. This record should have cross-cultural appeal. Producer Phil Sillas, who has worked with Plus One and Natalie Grant, says “I knew they had something special. They offer a sound that is universal to today’s church. GB5 brings to life that certain joy that only comes from a family who sings together.” Opening track “Holy Holy” has a wonderful a cappella beginning. There are more standout harmonies on “If I Should Fall.” The horns on “You Who Reigns” will remind some of Salvador. “Te Alabo” is alternately sung in English and Spanish and also features guest vocalist Justo Alamario. - Rob S. |
