Hillsong London “Jesus Is” Hillsong/Integrity Music 14 tracks @ 72:42
I thought I was in for a real interesting listen during the opening of “Lord of All,” the first track on this CD. Its use of keyboards reminded me of Andy Hunter. “Hosanna” was also an interesting change of pace as it was the first track to feature female singers. I also enjoyed this group’s version of Chris Tomlin’s “How Great is Our God.” “Till I See” includes some lyrics inspired by the Lord’s Prayer.
I’ve listened to roughly four-five Hillsong disks in the past few months. After a while they all blur together. I could put all of those CDs into my player and hit random. When a song comes up, I would have no idea which disk it’s from. Whether or not that’s a good thing, I don’t know but there is a certain consistency to these releases. I will add that all of the lyrics are appropriate for worship.
This record was recorded before a live audience in London and includes a bonus DVD.
