Anadara Into the Unknown Spring Hill Worship
Anadara is an impressive new voice in the spirit of female singer-songwriters like Nichole Nordeman, Sara Groves, and Amy Grant. Her Spring Hill debut is a pop orientated, spirited, worship album. Her musical style although popish, tends to come across as a traditional acoustic worship album. Anadara’s music is warm and refreshing while at the same time, there are real pick-me-up moments that round out the production of the whole album.
A few songs of mention are “Song of My Surrender” which is on the softer more intimate side, as well as the worshipful, “The Name” which is built around the Biblical descriptive of God the father, redeemer, master, king, etc. On the pop side, there is the upbeat “Go” the opening track of the CD. And lastly, “To The One,” a duet with Christy Nockels (Watermark). “To The One” is also a tender story of reflection and personal worship.
Anadara has been singing on Spring Hill’s compilations for at least a year now, and her label debut “Into the Unknown” is a wonderful addition to the label and to my CD collection. In a rock-dominated market, it is a real pleasure to unwind and reflect on worship in such a beautiful way.
