The Perfect Addiction

Don’t Let Go

Independent

Here is a perfect example of how much work goes into an upstart band.  In July of this year I was asked to review “Don’t Let Go,” and as I began to sit down and write up the review this morning, I decided to do some online research.  What I discovered was that their front man and half of the creative writing process was leaving the band.  At this point, their MySpace page is still active and the band is looking for a new lead.  However, that changes everything when you consider their style and sound.

What I liked about the “former” Perfect Addiction was the mix of melody and Screamo an odd combination for sure, but with the hot guitar leads in the background it all worked quite well.  The songs are very catchy and well produced for an independent project.  Stand out tracks include “My Life Is A Poem,” “Apart Together,” and my favorite, “Strength of a Fragile Heart.”

What happens next for the band is not clear, but it is important to know that bands do not always just come together at college and make it big without a lot of hard work and pain.
