God Is Good

Singer/songwriter Hoi is an original voice in CCM that comes across as pure and unaffected by the grind of the CCM marketing machine.  He soft-subtle voice peacefully proclaims the wonders of a “good” God throughout the self-penned album.  Additionally, the tender soundtrack compliments Hoi’s charming vocals.

Hoi’s background is rather interesting as she was raised in the Buddhist religion until she was eleven, when she opened up to a relationship with Christ. The battle of opposition from her family must have been overwhelming for such a young lady.  Further more, her love for singing was challenged by a medical condition.  Hoi’s affliction with Asthma was nearly the end of her singing as a career and mission.  However, much like her music, she has a brighter outlook about this than would be expected, “Asthma has taught me to appreciate every breath I take and it is nothing short of a miracle that I do what I do today.”
