            “The Nativity Story: Sacred Songs” is a compilation of Christmas songs that share the inspirational story of the nativity as portrayed in the new film, The Nativity Story, which opens up in theaters this December.  The songs cover a span of time from 1992 with Amy Grant’s “Breath of Heaven (Mary’s Song)”, to the two originals on the CD.  The first original is actually a remix of BarlowGirl’s “For the Beauty of the Earth.”  While the closing track, the “we are the world” track is a monumental collaboration of voices including Mike Weaver, Natalie Grant, Todd Smith, Allan Hall, Michael Farren, David Phelps, and Point of Grace. 

            The Nativity Story film chronicles the journey of Mary and Joseph that leads to the birth of Christ.  More information on the movie itself can be found at http://thenativitystory.com.
