OSeven: The Year’s Best Christian Rock Hits

“OSeven” is an awesome compilation that delivers as the title states - the best rock of the year (2006).  For the majority of the artist represented on the CD, I would say go out and purchase the real thing, including Pillar, Red, Skillet, and Kids in the Way.  There are other artists represented where it would be a draw on purchasing the entire project.  With that in mind I guess this makes a perfect compilation.  You get the best of each album, and you do not have to spend the big bucks to do the same.  However, with the advent of iTunes and the ease of making your own compilations I often wonder if mixes from the record companies may be on the way out.  Who knows, not everyone is comfortable with using technology as a means of delivery.

As far as compilations go, I think “OSeven” is a bountiful piece of polycarbonate.  Check out the releases official web site at http://www.theyearofrock.com/.
