Introducing Malachi Records

Malachi Records

“Introducing Malachi Records” is a feature album that showcases the labels multi-talented roster of rap, hip-hop, and R&B artists.  An interesting connection between the artists is their location, with the majority of the artist hailing from Port Harcourt, Nigeria or in that vicinity.  It’s not all that relevant to the music, but it is note worthy and cool to think about how flat the world has become in so many ways.

Featured artist on this CD include:

A-zAy – The founder of Malachi records and a lyrical poet

Annette – R&B with comparisons to Mary Mary and Beyonce

Kalil – Comparisons with Marvin Gaye and John Legend with additional skills on guitar and piano

Utchi Wali – Rap artist with similarities to Foxy Brown and a “no nonsense attitude” of Eve

Victor – The self proclaimed Dr. Dre of Gospel and also the founder of E-Trackz the partner company of Malachi Records

Otis – A mix of the Jamaican style of Sean Paul and the funk/R&B style of Nate Dogg

Although the artists bio’s use a lot of references it is only to help put an association on what they do.  Each artist is individually talented and original; the flow of the album really captures how well they blend together.  The greatest distinction between the Malachi artists and their references is of course the Gospel message that emanates from these particular artists.

For more information check out their official web site at http://www.malachirecordz.com where you can download the entire album for just under $10.00 ($9.99).
