Beth Moore Presents: Songs of Deliverance Inspired by the book Get Out of That Pit Indelible
Songs of Deliverance is a compilation of songs personally selected by Beth Moore, complimenting her new book Get Out of That Pit – Straight Talk About God’s Deliverance (Integrity Publishers/Thomas Nelson). The music was chosen specifically to further help Moore convey the message of hope and salvation.
The opening track is the spirited “Hide” by Joy Williams and as an opener it really sets the tone for the overall theme of pulling yourself up out of the pit. Songs from Steven Curtis Chapman, Wynonna, Sara Groves, Madisa, Cece Winans, Ronnie Freeman, Amy Grant, Travis Cottrell, and Paul Baloche follow up Williams.
Three of the ten tracks are new, including “Redeemer” performed by Madisa (an American Idol finalists), “Hiding Place” by Sara Groves, and lastly, “Come Home” performed by Travis Cotrell. Cotrell is also credited with Production rights along with Chris Thomason.
The overall inspiration of the album is not lost without the book, as the songs speak for themselves. However, the point of a companion CD is to help guide you through the lessons of the book and if the song selection is any indication of her writing then the book could not be any less inspiring than the music.
Author and speaker Beth Moore is known for the creation of Living Proof Ministries, which commits itself to the teaching of God’s word principally to other women.
