Rosanna Fiorazo “haven’t you heard. . .” Grace Note Music Grade = B
There’s a hint of modern country sprinkled throughout this very nice self-produced release. Not too surprising given that bands members from Faith Hill and Brooks & Dunn provide instrumental support. The simple, straightforward lyrics follow a similar theme; God is full of glory.
“I’m Free” is an uplifting song about the freedom we find through God’s love. “Hallelujah” begins as a contemplative worship song that builds to a crescendo. “He’s Exalted” is an easy-to-learn worship song. The acoustic guitar on “You Surround Me” reminded me of Jim Croce. There’s also some very nice mandolin on “Dancin’ With My Savior.”
Mitch McVicker provides vocal support on “My Deliverer,” one of my favorite Rich Mullins songs.
“I Need Faith” stands out. There’s a sense of urgency in the music while the lyrics are very vulnerable; “On better days I can’t get out of bed.”
Fans of adult contemporary music along the lines of Amy Grant will find it worth their while to track down this disk.
