            Denise Dovel is an independent artist with a history of music training and over 17 years of experience writing songs.  However, it was not until more recently that God has led her to take her ministry to the stage.  Her first CD, “Just Fine” was released in 2002 and “Praying For You” was released in 2005. 

Both as a lyricist and a vocalist, Denise exhibits a refined quality that was surely honed through her musical training, and most certainly enhanced by her desire to pursue ministry through music.   The lyrics of “Praying For You” are encouraging and inspirational, however, the general sound of the album follows more closely with what I would normally think of as adult contemporary and pop.

            For a completely independent project, “Praying For You” is well produced and the piano driven sound really backs up Denise’s tender vocals.  She has been touted as a energetic and devoted singer/songwriter and her songs are praised as being spirit-filled and encouraging.  Thankfully, the world-wide-web allows us the opportunity to discover such a great joy as “Praying For You.”  You can find more information at Denise’s official website at www.denisedovel.com.
