            The DFC Aardvarks is a UK band that has been recording and gigging off and on since 2003.  As the various members work their way through school the band comes back together when possible.  It was during one of these school breaks that the band recorded their latest EP “From Your Hands.”  The EP is a decent rock album that showcases the bands writing and musical style.  The band rocks with an emphasis on a guitar driven sound common in many rock bands.

            The somewhat crazy and confusing band name has some history.  The band was first known, as just The Aardvarks until they found out there was another German heavy metal band with the same name.  They then added “The Deep Fried Caffine” portion and on their web site it states that the misspelling was intentional.  No idea why, but at least they point out that they are aware that caffeine is misspelled.  The band has a decent web site where you can discover more about them.

            An EP is too short to make any real assessment of a band and its potential, but I liked what I heard. As a music fan in general, it is always a good idea to explore outside of your boundaries, and explore music that is being created all over the world.
