            As a band, Dizmas has been in existence since 1998 when the members were yet to be in high school.  The band has released at least one other indie CD titled “On a Search in America,” however, this is the first I have heard of the band.

            Not much stands out on “Tension,” although it is a solid rock album.  The overall sound of the album is fair; it’s just that nothing stands out as being distinct or above expectations.  To their credit, the band is active when it comes to social justice and missions.  The band enthusiastically supports Blood:Water Mission, Cure International, and To Write Love on Her Arms. 

            From what I can tell on the web, I think the bands hook comes from their live shows and interactions.  They like to take and share home video footage on the road, and there is plenty to see on their MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/dizmas.
